The Saturday Morning Project 5/24/11

Well hello again! With the release of the new Pirate of the Caribbean I felt it was time to spread some more trailer love.

The Adventures of Tintin - December 23rd, 2011
I'm going to start with a movie I've been waiting for for years! I was a huge fan of the cartoon when I was younger and I can't wait to see what they do with a full length film, especially with Spielberg and Jackson at the helm.

Straw Dogs - September 16, 2011
Here's a remake that looks like it stuck pretty close to the original. I smell a combination of "History of Violence" with a bit of "Deliverance."
And as an added bonus, the original movie trailer...

Fright Night - August 19th, 2011

Something about cheesy, scary, vampire movies makes me smile. Add Colin Farrell and you've got a good use of a Friday night. But be warned, it is a remake and I hear that all the original characters are not in the second movie...

Real Steel - October 7, 2011
Yea, I know what you're thinking and it isn't nice. However, this looks really cool - Rock Em Sock Em Robots cool! I bet by the end of the trailer you'll have at least a small twinge of excitement.
Horrible Bosses - July 8,2011
Now this looks funny! And just in case the world didn't hear me the first time I said it BRAD PITT IS AN IDIOT!!
And now to end on an awesome, pee in your pants, note...
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - July 15, 2011
I can't even begin to express how excited I am about this movie. I'll be sad that it's over but now I'll be able to own them all and have marathon Harry Potter weekends (like the boss on "Yes Man")! Anyway, there were a couple of things that didn't look entirely accurate but if there's one thing I've learned from these movies it's this - they aren't movies about the books. On that same note I'm glad to see epic wizard battle scenes. I've been waiting for that (I wouldn't complain if they squeezed a random Quidditch match in there somewhere.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this short SMP, I'll have more for you soon enough!
Until next time...Put your cell phone on silent and keep your mouth shut. I didn't pay $8 to listen to you talk.

The Saturday Morning Project - 4/27/11

I have returned again to spew my assumption of movies based solely on their trailers all over the internet once more. Thank you to those of you have returned since our last visit, I admire your courage. Sometimes I’m wrong (ie Sucker Punch), sometimes I’m right (ie Tron), but it’s always so fun. You'll notice I have a blog, I refuse to call it a blog so it will be henceforth known as my "Review Space." Anyway enough talk, let’s get to it!

Immortals – 11-11-11
It’s from the producers of 300 so you know it’s going to look cool and that’s obvious from the trailer. Let’s just hope that between those action scenes there isn’t loads of boring dialogue and confusing alternate reality flash arounds.

Grave Encounters – 4-25-11
Ok I know this one has already come out and normally this is about upcoming movies or bringing awareness to movies that otherwise go unnoticed but I had to mention this one. It’s a mix between Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity set on a “Ghost Hunters” type show. Face it, every time you watch Ghost Hunters you wanna see something freaky, this movie gives it to you.

Troll Hunter – 5/6/11
YES! This movie looks cool! I don’t know what else to say about it! I mean its freakin named Troll Hunter! Why wouldn’t you want to see that?

Another Earth – 7-22-11
Another Earth has an interesting concept. It leaves me with a lot of questions that make want to see the movie just for the answers.

The Big Bang – 5/13/11
Wait a second…..does this movie look like it’s going to be awesome to anyone else? It has everything “Shoot Em Up” had plus two more…Snoop Dogg and James Van Der Beek!

Abduction – 9/23/11
I almost stopped watching this one just because it reminded me of twilight but then it started looking more like the Bourne Identity and I got interested. It might be worth checking out.

Larry Crowne – 7-1-11
Well here we have a romantic comedy with two of America’s favorite people, Julia Roberts and tom Hanks. I don’t typically pay to see romantic comedies in the theatre but I might make an exception for this one.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes – 8-5-11
Do you even have to ask why I included this one?

Anonymous – 9/30/11
Wow now this looks good. The controversy behind the legitimacy of Shakespeare’s work set back in the day.

Conan The Barbarian – 8-19-11
"I live, I love, I slay, and I am content” – This movie needs no other explanation.

True Legend – 5/13/11
Man do I love a good Kung-Fu movie! This does not look like it will disappoint.

OK everyone that wraps things up for today. I'll bring back all your favorite features such as the "Trailer for Sarah" and the "Old Mess Movie Trailer" as soon as I get comfortable in my "review space." Anyway, I hope you all enjoy and I'm looking forward to posting for often.

Until next time...put your cell phone on silent and keep your mouth shut, I didn’t pay $8 to listen to you talk.
